Internal Attack – Series on II Peter

In Peter’s first epistle he wrote to the church at large scattered throughout Asia Minor to comfort and encourage believers in the midst of suffering and persecution – an external attack.  But, in his second letter sent three years later he writes to warn them of an internal attack – the rise of false teaching and resisting complacency.  This is Peter’s last communication via letter because soon after he wrote this he was crucified upside down under the authority of Emperor Nero – martyred for his faith!  In this powerful epistle, he is going to speak of holding fast to the non-negotiable facts of the faith, he is going to speak of growing and maturing in our faith, and of rejecting all that would distort the truth.  After all, the Grace of God in Jesus Christ truly transforms and empowers Christians to live righteously through the Power of the Holy Spirit!

Join us for a series of messages from the scriptures of II Peter starting Sunday, April 15.
